Jody, a busy baby-boomer woman who has just become an empty-nester moved to Three Oaks, Michigan in 2001 with her family. Having come from northern Indiana, Jody is a lifelong resident of the area. She recently completed her Bachelor degree at Indiana University in South Bend, focusing on Women’s Studies and Sociology. While a student in the women’s studies program, Jody began to understand the sacrifices that the majority of women, including herself, have made in the name of love, honor and duty.
VOLUNTEER WORK
• Planned Parenthood of Indiana. Annual fundraiser volunteer.
• Production of "The Vagina Monologues" Indiana University, South Bend, performed monologues on stage to raise funds and awareness of domestic violence.
• St. Margaret's House, South Bend, IN. Receptionist and Clothes Closet volunteer.
• Hospice at Home. Buchanan, MI. Patient visitor and respite volunteer.
• Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk. Kalamazoo, MI. Spring 2005. Annual Co-Chair fundraiser volunteer.
• Planned, presented and participated in the Art Smart Program, monthly art lessons to elementary students.
